"THE SEA" SERIES

This series explores the sea not as a literal landscape, but as a state of being. Each work reduces the ocean to its essential elements - horizon, light, depth, and movement - stripped of narrative and detail. The compositions are minimal, yet expansive, allowing color and atmosphere to carry the emotional weight.

Moving from very light blue to deep navy, the palette traces the sea’s shifting moods: calm and translucent, distant and contemplative, heavy and profound. The horizon often dissolves into mist, creating a sense of suspension between water and sky. This ambiguity reflects the sea’s dual nature—both boundary and infinity, surface and depth.

Rather than depicting specific places, the series focuses on perception. Soft transitions, blurred lines, and subtle tonal variations evoke memory more than geography. The viewer is invited to pause, to breathe, and to enter the quiet space where sea and sky meet.

"The Sea" body of work is an ongoing meditation on openness, stillness, and the vastness that lies just beyond what can be clearly seen.
